Scope of Supply
The supply includes the provision of commissioning services for the Protection Relays associated with the 400 kV line of the 400/60/30 kV interconnection from the Moimenta da Beira substation to the 400/220/60 kV Armamar substation on the National Grid.
System Description
The following equipment was included in the scenarios and tests:
- 1 Line Protection Relay, Differential Protection SIEMENS 7SD 523;
- 1 Distance Protection Relay SIEMENS 7SA 612;
- 1 Circuit Breaker Failure Protection Relay EFACEC TPU S220.
Activity Description
The ENGIPROT team was responsible for supporting the functional tests of the Protection System and the primary tests of the measuring transformers. The ENGIPROT team also carried out end-to-end testing of Teleprotection, TeleShooting, and Line Differential Communication Protection. Additionally, the ENGIPROT team performed the commissioning and functional testing of the Remote Access System.

With the implementation of these services by ENGIPROT, EFACEC ensured that testing was carried out in parallel with other ongoing activities performed by its own EFACEC teams, allowing the completion of the work within the client’s requested deadline.
