Scope of Supply
The supply includes the provision of investigation, configuration, parameterisation, testing, and commissioning services for a mobile substation in Costa Rica with voltage levels of 230 / 34.5 kV, comprising a control and monitoring system from EFACEC and ABB, as well as EFACEC protection relays.
System Description
The following equipment was included in the scenarios and tests:
Control and Monitoring System:
- 1 UC500E EFACEC;
- 1 BCU 500 EFACEC;
- 1 MOXA switch, with a star connection to all equipment;
- 1 HOPF GPS, installed in the control cabinet;
Protection Relays
- 1 Transformer Protection Relay ABB RET 670, providing Transformer Differential Protection;
- 2 Line Protection Relays EFACEC TPUS420, providing protection for one incoming and one outgoing line;
- 1 Automatic Voltage Regulator EFACEC TPU TC420;
Activity Description
The ENGIPROT team was responsible for implementing factory configurations across all systems for the control, monitoring, and protection of the mobile substation, as well as for the implementation and testing of all systems and their commissioning. All necessary documentation (specifications, protocols, etc.) was also prepared and delivered to the end client.
The ENGIPROT team carried out all functional tests of control, monitoring, and protection, commissioning of all panels, and their integration with the equipment, in the presence of the client.
