Scope of Supply
Training in Protection, Control, and Command Systems (PCCS).
Description of Supply
The overall objectives of the training are the following topics:
- Electrical studies using tools for power grid modelling and simulation
- Protection, metering, monitoring, command, and control systems
CJR Renewables focuses on the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of renewable energy generation facilities. CJR has implemented more than 11 GW across over 24 countries (more information at [https://www.cjr-renewables.com/pt/](https://www.cjr-renewables.com/pt/)).
ENGIPROT developed a training programme targeted at this market. The course included both theoretical and practical components, featuring the presentation of several real case studies.
Example of some topics covered:
- Protection functions for Medium Voltage feeders
- Differential protection
- Distance protection and teleprotection schemes
- Power flow and short-circuit studies
- Protection coordination study
- Grid code compliance study
- CT and VT sizing
- SPCC architectures and functions
- Incident analysis
The training lasted 30 hours and was conducted in a webinar format via video conference.
Benefits for the Client
Given ENGIPROT’s extensive experience in configuration, testing, and commissioning work, as well as in the development of power system studies, the client’s technical teams were able to develop and strengthen their skills in Protection, Command, and Control Systems, enhancing their autonomy and critical thinking to provide a distinctive and reliable response to the market.
